Unticking 'Serial interface' and ticking 'USB drive compatibility mode'
After setting up Wilcom EmbroideryConnect USB device on my Ricoma TC-1501 machine, I had to go to Hatch EmbroideryHub Advanced Settings and untick 'Serial interface' and tick 'USB drive compatibility mode.'
Otherwise, whenever I pressed a button on the Ricoma display to go to the screen for files on the EmbroideryConnect USB device, the button would get stuck pressed down instead of going to the USB files screen and no other buttons would work either. I would have to power off and on the embroidery machine to unfreeze the display.
While I was in Advanced Settings, I also switched memory size from default 8 MB to 16 MB, which is max USB stick size for Ricoma TC-1501.

Wilcom says in order to tick 'USB compatibility mode' you have to untick 'Serial interface.' And to remember to retick 'Serial interface' and I presume untick 'USB compatibility mode' if you have to reset your EmbroideryConnect device and go through setup again:
- Tick both ‘USB drive compatibility’ and ‘disable serial interface’. In other words, USB drive compatibility should be enabled and serial interface disabled.
- Only do this after the device has been set up and is working.
- If you reset the device for any reason, make sure ‘disable serial interface’ is unticked.
